simba-3.5, the recommended model since the 2026-10-18 entry, launches today.

• Price. simba-3.5 lists at $20 per 1M characters on Starter,$16 on Pro and $12 on Scale, twice the rates of `simba-3.0` and `simba-3.2`. Until 21 November 2026 it bills at their rates instead:$10, $8 and$6.
• Announcement. The switch from simba-3.2, the full list of 48 languages and how a voice sounds in each are in the Simba 3.5 announcement.
• Staff picks. In GET /v1/voices, each language’s staff-pick voices now carry staff_pick_rank, 1 for the first pick of its locale. Simba 3.5 sounds best with a voice native to the language you generate, so start with these. The full table is on Language support.

Nothing else changes: requests, SSML and the default model are as the 2026-10-18 entry describes, and no API version change is needed.
